NetSuite Fixed Assets Management Training – ART02.2

Course Overview

This is a comprehensive course designed for senior finance users who will have as part of their responsibilities the continual improvement process that enhances the effectivity and efficiency of NetSuite Fixed Assets Management (FAM) operations.

You should be sending someone if:

• You are embarking on a new NetSuite implementation; as having at least one finance team member attend this course prior to the implementation will deliver substantial in-house opportunities to identify instances to eliminate spreadsheets and manual inefficient effort from your company’s asset management processes; or,

• You have had staff changes that have resulted in a new finance team member who needs to become fully aware of the advantages, administrative functionality and capabilities of NetSuite FAM.

• You feel you should be taking advantage of more of the exceptional asset management functions of NetSuite and need someone from the finance team to be one of the lead agents for this.

The attendee will be learning:

• How to maintain and control the complete assets lifecycle from creation to depreciation, revaluation, split and retirement.

• Create fixed assets from purchase orders, vendor bills, journals.

• Create multiple depreciation calculation types, handling of depreciation and manage non-depreciating assets, maintenance schedules, lease and insurance.

• Slice and dice assets across locations, subsidiaries, asset types.

• Compound project assets into one, configure the depreciation upon completion.

• Run pre-built saved searches on monthly depreciation, assets additions, asset disposal, asset list, asset register, proposal history, inspection due, insurance renewal due, expiring leases.

Leading the users through the hands-on experience, the Trainer will ensure that the participant will become well versed in the array of configuration elements of NetSuite, where they can be found, and how they should be implemented or modified on an on-going basis.

The course involves one day of direction by the Trainer with extensive instructor-led assignments that will provide a practical, hands-on experience that will reinforce the knowledge gained.
